Ignis Ensemble
Directed by Kiyomi Hori
Assistant Leader, Julia Copeman-Haynes
Accompanied by Michael Park
Welcome to Ignis Ensemble! For singers in grades 8-12, Ignis Ensemble is a non-auditioned group where some experience is recommended but not required.
The name “Ignis” meaning “fire” in Latin, embodies the spirit and passion we bring to our music. Just as fire symbolizes energy, transformation, and illumination, Ignis Ensemble represents the dynamic environment where singers ignite their potential, fuel their growth, and shine with their individual voices.
We welcome both changed and unchanged voices, including soprano, alto, tenor and bass/baritone singers. This ensemble is currently our highest level offering, where singers can develop their abilities through complex multi-part harmonies across a diverse repertoire of genres, styles, and languages. Participants will build confidence, enhance vocal independence, and refine their performance skills in a supportive small-group setting.
Embrace the warmth and brilliance of Ignis Ensemble as you embark on an inspiring musical journey!
