aquae choir
Directed by Kiyomi Hori
Accompanied by Michael Park
Welcome to Aquae Choir! Tailored for singers in grades 5-7, Aquae Choir is a non-auditioned ensemble where no prior experience is required (but not discouraged!).
The name “Aquae” meaning “water” in Latin, perfectly captures the essence of this choir. Just as water flows and adapts, Aquae Choir represents the dynamic and nurturing environment where young singers can fluidly develop their skills and explore new musical territories. It symbolizes the continuous growth and the refreshing journey of musical discovery that this ensemble provides.
We focus on beginner to intermediate development of singing and choral music skills. Our diverse repertoire includes pieces in various languages and styles, and emphasizes learning to sing in confident 2-3 part harmony. Through engaging activities and group practice, singers will expand their musicianship and deepen their musical comprehension.
Join us and dive into a vibrant choral experience with Aquae Choir!
